A snippet in the life of middle-class Egypt, where we watch Attiya and his subconscious on stage trying to make ends meet. Attiya’s struggles intersect directly with his family members as each one of them fights their own demons under the looming threat of financial ruin.
I started work at AUC that semester as a graduate TA for Professor Jeanne Arnold. She contacted me ahead of the semester to ask me for help working on Attiya’s Windows since it was a contemporary Egyptian play and she was more experienced doing Egyptian period pieces. So we once again became a team and I started my second collaboration with Dr. Dina Amin.
I read the script and started researching again. Facebook once again became my friend when it came to discovering the Egyptian middle class. This play was the start of me using Procreate as a digital sketching tool.
